ABOUT LAUREN

BSN. Functional Nutritionist. The person your last provider wasn’t.

From the outside, I looked fine.
More than fine, actually.
I was an ER nurse with twenty years of clinical experience. I trained consistently. I ate clean. I understood the human body at a level most people never will.
And I was falling apart.

For three to four years, my body sent signal after signal that something was wrong.
Bone deep fatigue – the kind where stopping felt more terrifying than the exhaustion itself. Because I was genuinely afraid that if I stopped moving, I would not be able to start again.
My progesterone and estrogen tanked. I was told it was early menopause at forty.
My T3 was 2.1 – flagged as normal by standard labs. Grossly underperforming by any functional measure.
GI issues that worsened no matter what I did, written off as IBS.
And then the hives started.
Every time I went to work. Resolving within hours of leaving at first. Then lingering for days. Then weeks.
My youngest son told me recently that during those years, he was scared I was going to die.
I had to stop writing that sentence three times.

HOMEMETHODOLOGYCONTACTOFFERS

I spent my career trusting the medical system.
I believed in it. I gave it twenty years.
And when I needed it most, it handed me normal lab ranges and a diagnosis that explained nothing.
The system I knew how to navigate – the one I had dedicated my career to – could not answer my question.
So I went and found the answer myself.

Years of functional and integrative medicine work later, the full picture finally emerged.
Chronic GI issues that were not IBS. They were bacterial overgrowth so severe it was among the highest levels I have ever seen in my own clients since.
That overgrowth had tanked my thyroid and sex hormones.
The hives were not random. They were mold toxicity and MCAS – Mast Cell Activation Syndrome – driving a system-wide immune response that standard medicine had no framework to identify.
And learning to understand MCAS led me deeper. Into the Cell Danger Response. Into OID – Overactive Immune Dysfunction. Into genetic frameworks that explained why my body had responded the way it did all along.
The answers existed.
Nobody had been looking for them in the right places.

Xo, lauren

I did not build this because I saw a gap in the market.
I built it because I was the woman sitting in your chair.
The one who looked healthy from the outside while her body was in full system failure on the inside.

Who carried vomit bags in her purse because her immune system had turned against her. Whose child was scared she was dying.
Who was told, repeatedly, that her labs were normal.
Active Rebellion exists for the women the standard system cannot figure out.
Not because their bodies are broken.
Because nobody has been looking at the right systems, in the right sequence, with the right framework.
That changes here.

This has been such an eye-opening experience for me so far and I'm learning so much more than I ever have before.

I was really scared that this was just going to be the same kind of experience l've been used to, but this has been so different in the best way. You really have been helping me by going about things in ways that no other medical professional has ever done. This actually feels like progress towards healing instead of another band-aid to manage the symptoms and l'm so grateful for that."

”I KEPT HIRING PEOPLE and then DOING THEIR JOBS FOR THEM. KARA FIXED THAT.

We now have SOPs for everything, all of our systems are documented,  and I've finally stopped being everyone's answer key.

— Melissa Tran, CEO, Lark Consulting Group

WE WERE GROWING SO FAST, but EVERYTHING FELT like it was ABOUT TO BREAK. UNTIL KARA.

She stabilized us in 90 days. We've since doubled our team and nothing fell apart. That's entirely because of the infrastructure she built."
